Why won't www.sitename.tld resolve to my server? [Oct. 20th, 2011|09:56 pm]

Background info:
I'm hosting my site on my own server, using WAMP, with DNS being handled by freedns.afraid.org. Everything is running fine, except for one slight glitch. When visiting my website you can only get to it via the following URL:
http://sitename.tld

If you try to browse to http://www.sitename.tld, it will not resolve. Something is broken either with the DNS, my host itself, or my router... and I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting.

Thanks for your help in advance!

EDIT: Nevermind, apparently I was behind the DNS cache update.

I have an a record, but it won't let me add www at freedns. Says I already have an a record (for the domain itself without any subdomains).

I can only add a subdomain of www if it points to another host (IP). Does that mean that the router or apache is misconfigured?

Uhh... maybe I just needed to wait for DNS to update it's cache. I just tested and it's loading for me now.

Would you mind verifying if this loads?
